Mercato Experience


Earlier that evening,of February 19, 2011 i had a meeting with my co-organizer for our batch reunion, Doreen with her barkada/ our batchmates in Angelicum at Centris.

I've been wanting to go to Mercato since last year, i have a thing on trying out cool places, specially pag pagkain ang usapan! Besides the uniqueness of the food they sell, maraming cool na tao pumupunta don, though wala naman akong pakialam don dahil pagkain nga yung gusto kong makita don... ok fine, sige, gusto ko rin maging Cool! and Cool nako kase 2 wks na kame bumabalik don ni Mark!... it took forever until finally February 18, 2011 at exactly 11pm, Mark and I tried our 1st taste of Mercato Centrale @BCG tent. I also have a business meeting with my good friend and college barkada Yeye. I just came from a meeting at Centris with my batchmate and photobooth/ souvenir sponsor Doreen.

So we entered the tent. uhm ok, parang unang booth palang gusto na nameng bumili, in fact if you're there, lahat ata ng booth gusto mong bilhan...pero control..control..thanks to hubby because he always is in command pag food na, he goes "ikot muna tayo let's check the other booth's". Ang daming tao, i wanted to take pictures sana..... oh my goodness, they have unique foods nga, eto yung mga food na di mo makikita elsewhere. Sa mga bazaar's lang or they only have a facebook page or a website but not an establishment(for some). That's why it's good to actually travel from Quezon City to the Fort just to see this midnight Mercato Centrale. Twas worth it! nagkalat ang mga hungarian, schublig sauages, if you to the grill station or the other tent, naglipana ang mga bbq, pusit, isawand burgers. It's hard to pick which food to eat, because everything you see and smell looks really good! So we tried the sausage muna, shempre yung iba pang nextweek naman! Mark had a sandwhich sausage...i also did, but because i don't eat bread...no, not on stick...with rice! hahahahaha!

 Since we loved our first encounter, Mark said, we'll go back next week and try naman something else... February 25, 2011, Friday at 11pm...

Surprised to see many people...more than lastweek..and there are kids din, kse wala atang classes... the 1st booth is a dessert, yay, brazo... sabi namen we'll go back for it, kse Mark says i should go around muna to check..but i immediately told him i have to get a dessert muna kse last week, nasarduhan na kme ng dessert. so this time, its operation dessert muna haha...

Why do i like the minicupcakes by Anita? because, its not too big, its a bite size, di nakakasawa, and if you feel like you can't eat anymore, you can stop, kse the bigger ones, parang minsan 3 bites lang ayaw mo na sayang may natira pa, this one hindi! this is a good buy :), last week na daw nila eh, but they gave us their website if we want to order :)

Rabbit that is!

It's year of the rabbit.... and its time to say "KIONG HEE HWAT CHAI" Chinese New Year 2011.


And what comes in your mind every Chinese New Year? the ever popular--Tikoy!... They said eating and giving Tikoy meant blessing and goodluck to both parties. I don't eat Tikoy but for good luck Mark and I would traditionally give Tikoy to our friends. And while everyone was crazy over Tikoy, I was overly craving for ENG BEE TIN'S UBE HOPIA! Ewan ko ba, bigla nalang gusto ko, eh kahit saan ako mapunta basta merong eng bee tin, ayoko ng iba unless Dec's dice hopia pwede na, but for the spirit of Chinese New Year, Mark and I went to Binondo to make salubong Chinese New Year.

Last night, we've already spent our date night, to celebrate Mark's birthday dinner and early Valentine's date all-in-one. Everytime our bday falls on a thurs or a friday we spend the whole weekend celebrating it, whether it may be a simple coffee date or a dine out. So i was quite surprised today as i wake up, texting Mark asking what time he's home, and the obvious answer is "may ginagawa pako". Of course i wasn't expecting anything anymore since i declared last night as our V day na rin. but i would be lying if i say i wasn't hoping for a gift or a flower...hahaha... maraming girls na ayaw ng bulaklak, i once psyched myself saying the same thing, masabe lang....but like a kid at heart who still loves fireworks jumping up and down matching clapping and wide eyes on the explosion, i'm also a teenager at heart, a hopeless romantic--i like greeting cards, love letters, flowers, candle lit dinner and dates :) in fairness, i never stopped receiving flowers since I had a bf, asteeg diba, di ako kagandahan pero may nag aabot pa rin haha! And in fariness etong asawa ko lagi may surprise na flowers... buti naman blue, lagi nalang red, ayoko na ng red, lipstick ko red na nga eh iba naman haha! so ayan, he went home bigla ng walang pasabi at nagkiss sabay abot ng bulaklak, explain na may gift pako sayo later ah, "i love you" tapos sabay alis... naku ganun every year, lunch time or afternoon uwi sandali just to deliver the bouquet tapos alis tapos uwi sunduin ako tapos mag dinner kame..well, kahit wala, masaya nako na kahit matanda na kme pinakikilig pa rin niya ako...that's how Valentine's are spent naman eh, have you own kilig moments :) Happy Valentine's day everyone
