iloveturon: Meeting with Family

December 2, 2010 Thursday 9PM, Cortijos, San Juan

Auntie Carol calls for a meeting for the Program Committee to finalize the program for January. I backed out already but My aunt says I can't, that's why the meeting was set so we can fix it. Auntie Carol was the one who assigned the program to me, Kara and Renee. And since I was the one who doesn't do anything much, and i am the housewife, I took the liberty of doing basing the important inputs from Aunt Carol and Aunt Beth. Kara is busy in law school, and law school can be really toxic and I don't want to bother her too much if I could actually do it. On the other hand, Renee as well is busy at work in UAP. I know how it feels to work the whole 8hrs and end at 4pm. We had a series of meetings already but there was no draft whatsoever, so after Kara's birthday celebration I did it already. My mistake was since i was excited that this was really happening, i thought everybody is as excited as i was, my Auntie Beth says maybe some were just overwhelmed, but she found it okay,I'm so glad that the people who trusted me to do this appreciated what i did, because no one ever tried to make it in the first place.

Thanks to my Auntie's Carol and Beth, cousin's Kara and Renee, and my loving husband who's just there to support and continued to believe in me.

Auntie Carol made all the Program Committee's the Grand daughter's in the Phils. We asked suggestions from everybody even those in the States because we want everybody to have a special participation in the program. I asked my cousins and my brother (grandchildren with kids) to practice their kids of a particular song. Tina, even suggested we (girls) sing live, Kara wanted a glee-like performance, I would love to go on live, knowing the terrible voice i'de had, i'd still do it for the simple reason that its fun, besides we'll do it on a group performance. Renee being the most quiet, conservative of us all agreed to anything she was asked to participate on, i even joked sige this is a pre-audition, can you do the wak-waka, she goes yung lang pala eh and she dance, haha galing! Nikki, was also ok with the chuwariwariwap thing!

Every meeting, we always had intervals of laughing, we had our moments on serious mode, but when everyone was getting too serious, i'd make everyone laugh. And they laughed, haha! That's what's good with family, you don't feel different, you don't have to feel you have to prove anything, you always take what everyone has to say because it is important. even the littlest things. I have this feeling that that if you take things too serious, then you're deprived of happiness. I never had to take everything too serious, or if it was something really serious, i know how to shift myself on that mood. Let's say, i take things lightly. Kahit mabigat minsan yung feeling, I try to find way to make everyone okay. Not that i want to save the owrld or something like that. Pero marunong akong mag-pacify. I just had a my downfall that only family can pacify, tao lang ako, i also get hurt.

Auntie Carol lead the team, also Auntie Beth. I don't know but for some reason, everything we said was perfectly agreed by everyone with flying colors pa haha... lahat kame, ay oo maganda nga yun, good job!, or pag nagsuggest yung isa since ayaw ng iba ng ganito why not this one, "tama!" so we were a team that helped find solutions not find faults to anyone. It was a great tandem. May video chat pa with Uncle Al!

After Dinner(wish i forgot to take pictures, we had a yummy tuna pasta with olives, Coppergrill BBQ, Super sarap na soup and Roasted Chicken). Believe me when I say When my family(Rubio) side, hosts a meeting or a party, we have super sarap na food.
