Christmas Wish 2010

I am a simple wife who appreciates simple things.

Simple things makes me happy. Even when I was younger, I always loved collecting cute pads, stationaries and colorful pens. My organizer had black pads and I'd write with my neon or white gel pens. Everytime the family goes to National Bookstore at Quezon Avenue, I always get so excited, I'd put stuff in the cart like the colorful post-it's which my dad did not mind, Mead notebooks that were expensive that time(now i ask myself, why the hell did i buy those, ang mahal!, there's no way I'm buying that again **thins you do and ask when you were a kid** tsk!)that again my dad and mom didn't mind. My index cards were all colorful, I'm glad that besides Lisa Frank and Jordi Labanda notebooks, there's now a cheaper version of fashion ticklers which I can buy for only 70 php as opposed to the Jordi Labanda ticklers for 250php. I still fancy colorful pen's, cute pads and post-it's and i never ran out of colorful pens (minsan pa-isa isa lang bili ko hehe). I also have planners, like when my dad bought me my first planner, it was a Ralph Lauren green hounds tooth leather which i have until now, at that time costs 5k(twas expensive, but my dad was not just a good provider to us, he and my mom bought us nice things not minding the price but wanted to see the joys in our faces, they always looked after quality, they both shopped a lot with me and my brothers, they provided not things that we just didn't need, but also our wants, I guess that time when they were working they earned a lot and enjoyed the fruits of their labour and shared it to us, they worked really hard for me and my brothers, basta i remember before, we didn't have the most expensive things but we always had a share of the nicest and the newest stuff on our younger years). And since the refills costs 2k, i ended up buying at Tickles, where I can get cute cartoonized papers and refill paper planners for less than 200php. I still have my RL planner, but I just don't use it anymore, instead, I collected stickers of Starbucks in exchange for a planner and did that for 2 yrs after getting married. Then I felt i was stupid collecting it. I said, I needed a planner that i could actually use, Then came BELLE DE JOUR. The First planner they released, I already reserved and picked up at the Rockwell bazaar, then every October they'd send emails to previous customers for 30% off, I got mine for only 485php. After a while, I felt, it was way too expensive already, given the amount accumulated coupons worth 10k, yeah i was able to enjoy naman pero if i buy again parang baka its not worht it anymore. So I settled for a much cheaper one, which was still cute and fun to write on, i bought the Cosmo planner almost 300php, i pretty much liked it and was able to use it, it was spiral so it was like just a notebook. Since 2011 is fast approaching in 4 weeks, I planned on getting a Belle de Jour. Saturday night, usual dates with the hubby, we landed at Serendra and High Street, we checked on Fully Booked, i said ok, lemme check out the Belle de Jour, to my surprise,the usual discounted price i got now increased its now 585php something. Yikes, di bale nalang, I'll get a Cosmopolitan nalang. Why is the planner important to me, because i like writing and detail about important and unimportant events in my life. And that also includes writing with my cute colorful pens :) i can track my monthly period, i had mood trackers too, i had birthdays listed, i can write recipe's there when i see interesting one's on a magazine for a salon visit.

Which brings me back to Christmas! I wonder if some of you already came up with their Christmas wishlist? Coz i did! I figured,ok, what else is missing...I can't think of anything else because, I already have the things i always wanted to have. Of course there are many things and dreams of expensive stuff we want, but I lived my life knowing and wanting what i can achieve and get. I know how to simplify my life and able to adopt on the instability of the economy of our country. Having said that, When we had the "time of our life", my parents always reminded us to stay humble. I live by example by the best lesson and favorite line my dad told me: "Anak,  keep your humility. For Humility is the greatest foundation of all virtues", if you have that, every kind of goodness will follow". Even when my parents were surrounded by fame in our province belonging to a Family of public servants. We never lived an ostentatious life. We keep worth of things that are important, essential in our life, not having to spend and be frivoulous. In fact, this year, i already got the material things i've always wanted. I feel very blessed. Maybe some people does not get contented on material things they have and asks for more, though nothings' wrong with that, Trip nila yun eh, so walang basagan ng trip. Pero ako kasi, 1 year nkaplan mga gusto ko, if i have just 3 things i want, di na nadadagdagan yun. It may not mean much to others, but these things meant something to me, because it was a present and its something i really, really like. Some may get these things in an ordinary day shopping at the mall, but i'm not as rich like others,and i know my reach. I dream big but i'm a practical woman, i only ask and want what i deserve to have. I can't ask for a Patek just yet, but i know soon, i'll give my piece and wish on that day or year when we can finally afford it. :)

a Bday gift from Mom

Last Christmas i wished for a watch. My husband gifted me the watch. This year i want a Bag and a blackberry. I'm not the type of person who makes kulet, kse nga we were trained as kids not to ask too much and be happy for what were blessed with(i give credits to my wonderful parents who raised us very well with good values and kahit papaano nahawaan ako ng konting class, hehe. My parents were the best fashion influences in my life)my husband surprised me with a phone last summer, kse namiss niya daw ako last election , i stayed in ilocos, naiwan siya dito so when I got back, yehey may surprise ako. Then he gave me the bag i want on my birthday, he surprised me with a bday party then the bag with a Lv Bag CAke too. When my mom got back from the States, kahit hindi ko hiningi, she bought me nice gifts: my 1st ever longchamp bag, she matched it with a nice Simply Vera Wang Sandals and a Gorj Black Aldo stiletto platform. My Auntie Carol also gave me Jo  Malone Cologne. My obsession since 2008, my fist ever was Lotus Blossom and Water Lily then Grapefruit, now its Nectarine. I also want to thank my friends with their gifts on my birthday, ang dami sobra hehe thanks guys!  i received a yummy cake from friends,  cute mini cakes from my inaanak, nice orange/red top, 2 other perfumes, vodka's, Mac Russian Red lipstick, Starbucks tumbler, Shopwiser's food supplement etc. I always have more than 2 celebrations on my birthday, all surprise. Kaya this year, wala nako ibang gusto coz I'm happy na, i feel blessed na. Kasi, feeling ko naman, na-bless nako nung bata ako with good providing parents, di naman kami na deprive of nice things, we practically had what we want before. And now, i still enjoy everything i see i have the best friends in the world, So dapat pa ba ako mag-ask more? hindi na. Kase i'm happy with simple wishes :) I get really happy na with little things like cute colorful stuff.These are the wishes i already got from Christmas 2009-present:

I've come up with a few, some with checked marks already since Mark gave it to me na this week(akala niya ordinaryong bili lang, kaya nagulat siya kase Christmas Wish ko pla mga yun hehe). And the rest unchecked are of those i know are way too expensive, to which i can set aside until next year..so check out my very shallow but cute little wishes this Christmas! I hope Santa can read this too :)

I can set this aside, for as much as i want it this year, its not released until next year , this will be released in the US on Feb. 2011, according to buzznews.com and the rest of Asia prolly on the 2nd quarter of 2011.

The pricing of the tablets depend on storage size. Three models of the Playbook will be available with storage capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The price for the 8GB is $399, the price for the 16GB is $499 and the 32GB is $599.

And i'm proud to say I've been smoke-free for almost a year now :)

Mark, thank's for fulfilling 3 of my wishes, i'm really happy na--the Lumix and playbook can wait (ehem) haha! But most importantly, i wish for good health not just for me but for my family, that we stay happy and united no matter what happens. Loyalty and Trust and blessings to my Husband who works his ass out everyday, missing vacations and impt celebrations just to provide for us. Christmas is my favorite season only not because its feastive, may karapatan kang mag maganda at magoutfit kse nga its Christmas! People may forget the true meaning of Christmas. It's about LOVE,a time to celebrate JESUS' BIRTH! :)
